P&P Greenhouse

P&P Greenhouse is operated by Patrick Taylor and Paul Risi. In 1998 Patrick and Paul built the 3000 sqft greenhouse across the street from the farmstand. This year they offer not only sweet bell peppers, but have expanded production to include field grown specialty peppers, early heirloom tomatoes, hanging baskets, cut flowers and passion flowers. P&P's crop is certified organically grown by NOFA/MA. Patrick (pictured) has lived in the area for over 10 years and has learned his skills through working on several area farms. Paul has a tropical plant business and has worked in greenhouses for many years. "I chose to grow organically because I do not like using dangerous pesticides or synthetic chemical fertilizers", says Patrick of his growing methods. "I am also certified organic because I believe in the high standards that local certifiers like NOFA uphold. While my costs tend to be slightly higher, I feel it is worth the extra expense to bring a high quality, safe product to my customers".
